Symba, the leading remote internship management platform, announces an expanded partnership with INROADS, in support of its College Links program in a virtual environment. College Links works with underrepresented high school students interested in STEM and business, to prepare and strengthen them for both college and career success. Through the program, students are exposed to career immersion activities, mentoring, and goal planning.

Last summer, in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, INROADS partnered with Symba to support an innovative virtual internship program called viSHIPS. With Symba’s platform and resources provided around program success, INROADS corporate partners were able to build and scale meaningful remote internships for both the students and employees.

“We are proud to partner with and support the incredible work the team at INROADS is doing to empower underrepresented students with key professional development opportunities. Last year, we organized workshops and resources to help INROADS corporate partners design remote internship experiences. We are excited to grow our partnership and help scale the reach of INROADS initiatives.” says Ahva Sadeghi, CEO & Co-Founder of Symba.

INROADS has College Links programs in Atlanta, Cincinnati, Chicago, Newark, and Washington, DC, and recently launched in Dallas, Oakland, Orlando, and Minneapolis, expanding INROADS’s mission of leveling the workforce playing field for diverse students. College Links scholars have gone on to successfully navigate the earliest stages of the career lifecycle and beyond, including the C-Suite.

"Our partnership with Symba is vital in the digital transformation of INROADS,” says Forest T. Harper, Jr., president and CEO of INROADS, Inc. “Due to COVID-19, College Links will be virtual this year. Moving forward, continuing to offer virtual programs through this best in class technology, will allow INROADS to rapidly scale and impact high school students across the country."

INROADS and Symba are excited to continue their collaboration to provide early career-building opportunities for underrepresented students.
