Founding Story
Our co-founder and CEO, Ahva Sadeghi was one of the first remote interns with the US Department of State and became passionate about remote work as a new pathway to opportunities. In 2017, Ahva was a fellow with Congressman John Lewis in Atlanta and founded Symba as an action project to create equitable access to the workforce. Shortly thereafter, Nikita Gupta, Symba’s co-founder and CTO joined the team to turn the idea into a reality. Today, Symba is powering thousands of new hire experiences!
Women-founded Symba started as an action project with the late Congressman John Lewis to increase access to early career experiences for underserved talent. This continues to be core to who we are as we advocate for paid, accessible, and inclusive early career experiences.
