Meet Mona Pesqueira (She/Her), who works as an Account Executive at Symba. Mona has spent nearly two months with Symba and works to educate customers on Symba’s platform. She also manages the entire sales cycle and solves problems for clients by understanding and exceeding their expectations. Outside of work, Mona enjoys hiking, cooking, and traveling! Come, let’s learn more about Mona and her journey so far - professional and personal!
- What brought you to Symba and what’s been keeping you here?
I was drawn to Symba because of the incredible people, as well as the chance to solve problems and bridge the gap in the early talent space. I enjoy being part of an organization that values people, diversity, and keeps an open line of communication.
- How would you describe Symba’s work culture?
Everyone wants each other to succeed, and we all work towards a common goal to help improve our customers lives. The communication is open, transparent, and you are encouraged to come as you are.
- What does a day in the life of Mona look like?
I start my day with a workout, meditate for 15 minutes, and get dressed for the day. I have to have my cup of coffee and eat a light breakfast. Then I start by checking my calendar, emails, and work on my daily tasks and to-do’s. The day is full of client meetings, demos, and internal meetings. After a full day of work, I enjoy making dinner for my family, helping my daughter with homework, and we usually wind down with a movie or a show.
- Proudest moment at Symba?
Creating valuable processes that help us gain more customers and grow Symba such as SDR Career Growth Plan, Mutual Action Plans, Sales Playbook, etc.
- How’s it like to be a ‘remote worker’ at Symba?
I feel very much part of the team, I know I can reach out anytime to get the support I need.
- What’s your personal mantra and why is it important?
“Don’t worry about what you can’t control.”
I truly try to live by this. So much is going on with the world and our lives, and it can drain us if we allow it. I want to solve it all for everyone, but a lot of what happens is out of our control. I focus on what I can control and put my energy and time there.
- Any advice for future Symbians?
Be an advocate for yourself, in a remote world it can be hard to ask for support when needed. We are here to support you, reach out if and when you need support.
