50 Women HR Leaders Making Waves for Women’s Rights in the Workplace

McKinsey & Company's Women in the Workplace 2022 Report found that only 26% of C-Suite executives were women and only 5% were women of color. The numbers weren't much better for SVP roles (28% held by women, 6% held by women of color) or VP roles (32% held by women, 8% held by women of color). As a women-of-color-founded startup building HR tech, we wanted to take a moment to recognize some of the talented women in corporate HR leadership roles at some of the largest enterprises in the U.S. and the world. Please note that this list is not ranked or exhaustive. Check out these 50 powerhouse women below!

Angela Gosman

Angela is the EVP and CHRO at PPL Corporation and has more than 30 years of experience in the HR industry. She specializes in labor relations, compensation, benefits, talent acquisition, DE&I, and more.

She is well-versed in the utility industry and has been involved in significant HR initiatives, including system upgrades, union negotiations, and the expansion of organization-wide programs.

In addition to her work at PPL Corporation, Angela is also a board member of Women Influencing Louisville, a group of Louisville-based companies that focus on issues important to women and support women’s diversity. Their mission is to identify, support, and nurture professional women, sharing best practices and creating a collaborative and innovative environment.

Jeri Hawthorne

Jeri is the SVP and CHRO at Aflac, where she leads HR functions for all of Aflac’s corporate areas, from talent management to development to employee engagement. She has amassed more than 20 years of experience and leads HR functions all over the world.

At Aflac, Jeri has worked to integrate more support for employees, such as counseling services, nondenominational spiritual support, health and fitness centers, educational opportunities, financial planning, and integrated a hybrid work environment to offer flexible work arrangements for their employees. She has implemented the use of surveys to review benefits and improve employee wellness, guiding her to focus on supporting mental health and burnout.

Fiona Ramsay

Fiona is the Senior Director of Global Recruiting Solutions at American International Group, Inc. (AIG), a leading global insurance organization committed to helping individuals and providing security during times of uncertainty.

She focuses on fostering a culture of equity and inclusion to attract, develop, and retain diverse talent and leadership. In her position, Fiona is responsible for global recruiting and onboarding tools, technology and recruiting policies and standards, change management, and more.

Some of her major accomplishments have included training and change management during the COVID-19 pandemic, the implementation of additional sourcing tools to support DE&I initiatives, and creating a pay equity and transparency strategy.

Michelle Gadsden-Williams

Michelle is the Managing Director & Global Head of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion at BlackRock. She is a seasoned DE&I executive with a demonstrated history and proven track record of success, and possesses high proficiency in diversity, talent acquisition, people analytics, talent management, communications, and more.

Michelle recently published Driven by Intention: Own Your Purpose, Gain Power, and Pursue Your Passion as a Woman at Work, a guide for women looking to transform their careers and create their own success. She describes her work in the HR world as “a movement with real strategic and proactive intent.”

Josetta Jones

Josetta is the Chief Diversity & Inclusion Officer at Chevron. In this position, she leads the company's strategic DE&I initiatives and oversees partnerships to recruit, retain, and develop diverse talent and foster an inclusive workplace culture for all employees.

Outside of her work with Chevron, Josetta also serves on the board of BayGanda Foundation, an organization that supports girls’ academic and creative aspirations.

She has received the Diversity Champion Award from the Bar Association of San Francisco’s Barristers Club’s Diversity Committee.

Alicia M. King

Alicia is the VP of People & Culture at The Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights. She describes herself as an “innovative, dynamic, and strategic HR practitioner” with more than a decade in the development of HR programs.

Alicia has experience in recruitment, employee relations, talent development, succession planning, and more. She leads the Leadership Conference’s commitment to be a “diverse, anti-racist, and inclusive organization with solid talent and HR policies.”

Kathleen Idehara

Kathleen is the Early Career Program and Operations Leader at Cigna, where she helps interns make meaningful connections in the virtual world. She values clear and consistent communication, leader engagement, and providing tools and resources interns need to succeed. She is also a Certified Diversity Recruiter (CDR).

One of Kathleen’s recent accomplishments was the creation and implementation of a strategy for virtual internships at Cigna during the COVID-19 pandemic. This strategy was designed to mitigate risk and increase conversion rates, ultimately yielding an 88% acceptance rate by the end of the program.

Carolyn Butler-Lee

Carolyn is the VP of Diversity & Inclusion at Cummins Inc., working to inspire an unwavering commitment to DE&I and creating strategies to connect employees and foster a culture of belonging. 

Carolyn encourages every team member to share and engage in diverse perspectives to drive innovation and appreciate the value of differences. She focuses on empowering others to succeed by removing barriers to success.

“Studies show that, in the absence of intentional efforts and proactive measures, employees in underrepresented demographic groups can be unfairly disadvantaged in hiring, retention, development, and advancement. Cameron McDonald

Cameron is the VP of Talent Acquisition & Talent Management at Duke Energy Corporation. She has a strong track record of implementing talent strategies that enable Duke Energy to execute its clean energy strategy.

In her work at Duke Energy, Cameron combines DE&I, talent acquisition, and workforce agility to increase diversity in the company’s recruiting pipeline, leadership team, and overall strengthen the company culture. She has led a team focused on HR transformation, applying innovative technology to reimagine HR products and services.

Alessandra (Ali) Casey

Ali is the Global HR Director at Elsevier, a company that helps healthcare professionals advance science and improve health outcomes. In her role, Ali supports global employees and leaders across all levels of the organization. She is highly experienced in change management, strategic organizational design, and leading employee engagement initiatives.

During Ali’s time with Elsevier, she has helped the company achieve significant recognition. At the 2022 Comparably Awards, where results are determined based on employee surveys, Elsevier won in four categories: Best Company for Diversity, Best Company Culture, Best Company for Women, and Best CEO. Elsevier was also acknowledged in several other categories thanks to its prioritization of diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Sloane Drake

Sloane is the CHRO at Southern Company, where she has built up over 20 years of experience in various HR positions. Currently, she leads Southern Company in talent management, DE&I, labor relations, health and well-being services, talent acquisition, and more.

Sloane specializes in full life cycle recruiting, leadership and talent development, and project management. She strongly believes that giving back to others is key to living a fulfilling life. Sloane demonstrates this philosophy through her hard work and dedication to Southern Company.

Julia Rendon Reinhart

Julia is the SVP and CHRO at Valero. Overseeing both union and nonunion employees, she ensures every message and initiative meets the needs and expectations of the company. As a first-generation college and law school graduate, she stresses the importance of competitive pay and benefits, maintaining Valero’s reputation as a safety-minded, community-oriented employer.

In 2018, the San Antonio Business Journal awarded Julia the Women in Leadership - Woman of the Year award for her work at Valero.

Paula Elliott

Paula is the HR Strategy Manager for ExxonMobil. She is a forward-looking, “culturally fluent” HR executive that works with senior business leaders to align talent, programs, and technologies within a company.

Paula has accomplished a lot during her impressive career. Some of her initiatives include: 

  • Creating a new leadership development program to modernize business practices and shift executives to a global mindset.
  • Creating an award-winning digital toolkit to strengthen in-house organizational development, drive down spending, and advance the adoption of major initiatives.
  • Implementing new digital and agile learning and development strategies.

Paula is also a founding member of OCEAN (Organizational Change, Effectiveness and Agility Network), a global community of senior HR professionals who implement organizational transformations with a focus on culture development and the future of work.

Mya P. Miller

With over 20 years of experience managing HR teams, Mya is currently the Director of HR Policy at Humana. She is deeply passionate about helping other businesswomen succeed in the corporate sector through professional development and financial growth.

Mya has expertise in recruitment and retention, mediation, staff training, and complex problem resolution. Her motto is “stop dreaming and start doing”, which she proves through her dedicated and actionable work.

Jocelynne McAdory

Jocelynne is the VP of HR and Community Health at Kaiser Permanente, Washington, and is a multi-talented HR professional with over 20 years of experience in consulting and leading human resources initiatives.

She has a people-focused approach to her work, and she creates excitement and builds momentum to harness employee productivity and bring projects to completion. Jocelynne has launched initiatives to combat the Great Resignation, including competitive wage and incentive analysis, talent acquisition innovations, and new hire employee experience.

Jocelynne has also sponsored market equity and social justice initiatives, including the Belong@KP racial justice program, listening sessions, and community partnership strategy.

Maura Quinn

Maura is the VP at Liberty Mutual, leading early talent recruiting and managing programs to support the organization’s DE&I goals. In her work, she pushes DE&I initiatives, including maintaining recruitment at all 102 HBCUs.

Maura was a NACE board member from 2019-2021, where she received the Catalyst Award for exemplifying excellence and innovation in the field of HR and recruiting, and two Innovation Excellence Awards for Technology and Student Engagement. She is also a talent council member at RippleMatch and a board member for the College Industry Recruiting Council.

Judith Scimone

Judith is the Chief Talent Officer & HR Lead for US Business and Global Functions at MetLife. She is responsible for advancing MetLife’s talent agenda and creating an energizing and inclusive workplace culture. Judith has held HR leadership positions in many leading financial, technological, and healthcare organizations. She specializes in talent acquisition, performance development, organization effectiveness, DE&I efforts, and leadership development. 

Judith is a global leader, having lived in the U.S., Latin America, and Asia Pacific. She co-founded Black Business Alliance during her time at Yale School of Management.

Payal Sanhi

Payal is the Chief People Experience Officer and EVP at Pfizer, where she has been bettering the company and culture for over 25 years. She is responsible for Pfizer’s global talent strategy, DE&I efforts, colleague experience, and builds on Pfizer’s purpose-driven culture.

Payal has said she felt called to HR because of its focus on empowering other people and helping them be their best selves. She learned from her parents to “live in a way that lifts others,” so she strives to make HR processes simple and efficient to lift her employees up.

Brandi Khoury

Brandi is the VP of HR at Shell Oil. She graduated from New Mexico State University with a degree in HR and international business and has been with Shell for 26 years.

Brandi maintains the happiness of employees through company outings, professional development opportunities, and more to ensure low burnout rates and increase retention. She leads with creativity and problem-solving skills to develop and empower talent across the organization. Her work has focused on supporting initiatives that increase employee benefits, such as implementing paid paternity leave of at least 8 weeks.

Aimee Wilford

Aimee is the VP of People Experience & Talent at The Clorox Company. She is experienced in people analytics, talent management, talent acquisition, and HR operations/technology. 

Described as a strategic, thought-provoking leader with deep care for others and the desire to do the right thing, Aimee is passionate about creating a connection between employees to drive engagement and increase performance.

Carol Surface

Carol is the EVP & Chief Human Resources Officer at Medtronic, which has been named one of the 25 best workplaces in the world for its exceptional employee experiences, high-trust relationships, and equitable workplace. She is a seasoned HR professional with past leadership experiences at Best Buy and PepsiCo and holds a Ph.D. in industrial/organizational psychology from Central Michigan University.

In addition to her position at Medtronic, Carol is also the Vice Chair of the HR Policy Association, Co-Chair of Gartner’s CHRO Leadership Board, and Board Chair of Medtronic Foundation.

In 2020, Carol was elected as a Fellow of the National Academy of Human Resources (NAHR), which is the highest honor one can receive in the HR profession. In 2022, she was named the world’s top Chief Human Resources Officer by N2 Growth, one of the top executive search firms.

Lisa Chang

Lisa is the SVP & Global Chief People Officer/Board of Directors at The Coca-Cola Company, overseeing talent and people strategies, culture, and DE&I efforts. She focuses on creating an environment where employees can thrive, and believes in the importance of personal well-being, focus, and keeping an open mind in the workplace. Her approach to HR is to understand the business and understand the objectives through the lens of the people.

Lisa serves on the Board of Advisors for Catalyst, a nonprofit organization whose mission is to accelerate progress for women through workplace inclusion, and a board member for the Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation.

Donna Morris

Donna is the EVP and Chief People Officer at Walmart, where she focuses on leveraging digital resources, providing professional growth opportunities, increasing DE&I, and supporting employees’ well-being. Donna invests in diverse sourcing channels and recruiting practices to build a stronger DE&I pipeline.

Donna is a board member at the Adobe Foundation, a member of the Board of Directors at SHRM, and recently spoke at the 2022 Forbes Future of Work Summit. In 2016, she was named one of the Top 50 Most Powerful Women in Technology, issued by the California Diversity Council.

Laurie Havanec

Laurie is the EVP & Chief People Officer at CVS Health, leading HR functions for their 300,000 diverse and talented employees across the U.S. With more than 25 years of experience in HR, she focuses on delivering a welcoming, energizing, and rewarding work environment for all employees to foster company success. She brings a holistic approach to DE&I management.

Laurie has shared she was drawn to CVS for their position as a leader and innovator in providing healthcare to everyone, and because her dad was a pharmacist! One of the initiatives she has worked on is CVS’s Abilities in Abundance program, which provides employment opportunities for people with physical, mental, and emotional disabilities.

Aimee Hoyt

Aimee is the Chief People Officer for Illumina. Her goal is to elevate company culture and people practices in innovative and personalized ways. She has a successful track record for leading workforce transformation, driving business growth, and creating high-impact teams.

Aimee introduced a Culture of Care mindset to Illumina, based on their central elements of transparency, flexibility, trust, and personalization, and integrated that mindset into their programs. She launched the Compassion and Care Time Off policy, which gives employees up to 30 days of paid time off to be used at their discretion during personal crises.

Illumina has been recognized as one of “The Best Places to Work for LGBTQ equality” on the Bloomberg Gender-Equality Index.

Debra Thompson

Debra is the Chief People Officer at Chegg. She brings over 20 years of HR experience to the company, leading a global team of HR professionals that empower talent and work to create the best work culture. Thanks to her and her team’s efforts, Chegg was named one of the top 10 best work cultures of 2022 by Employee Benefit News.

Debra is passionate about DE&I, working to create an environment where everyone can learn and thrive. One of the changes she implemented at Chegg is running all employees through DE&I training when they join the organization. Debra has also been a member of the Forbes HR Council since 2020. 

Tracey Franklin

Tracey is the CHRO at Moderna. After only one year with the company, she was confronted with the challenge of COVID-19. More specifically, she had to guide the biotech company through a global pandemic while also supporting their rapid development of a vaccine. Moderna was thrust into the international spotlight with no preparation, so she has adapted her management style to meet real-time needs.

Tracey goes beyond traditional HR roles to ensure she can build and support her team. She is passionate about elevating the careers of young female professionals.

Ellyn Shook

Ellyn is the Chief Leadership and Human Resources Officer at Accenture, seeking to create “the most truly human company in the digital age.” Ellyn helps the 700,000+ employees of Accenture succeed professionally and personally by re-imagining leadership and talent practices to create a human work environment in a digital world. She is a strong advocate for DE&I efforts and is externally recognized as a key component of equality efforts, which helped Accenture rank #1 on Refinitiv’s Diversity & Inclusion Index.

Ellyn is a member of the World Economic Forum’s Global Shaper Community Foundation Board and is on the executive committee of the Professional Roundtable of CHROs. She was named HR Executive of the Year by Human Resource Executive in 2020 and inducted as a Fellow in the National Academy of Human Resources in 2021.

Susan Schmitt Winchester

Susan is a Fellow of the National Academy of Human Resources and the CHRO at Applied Materials, specializing in aligning teams, building leadership capability, developing talent, and fostering a workplace culture of inclusion and collaboration. She is passionate about developing creative strategies that engage others and helping organizations deliver exceptional results. With over 30 years of experience, Susan helps executives and professionals discover self-acceptance, fulfillment, and joy at work and in life.

Susan is the author of “Healing at Work: A Guide to Using Career Conflicts to Overcome Your Past and Build the Future You Deserve” and “Healing at Work: An Adult Survivor’s Guide to Using Career Conflicts to Overcome Your Past and Build the Future You Deserve,” the latter of which she co-wrote with Martha Finney. Susan and Martha’s books are intended to help professionals who experience more stress and anxiety at work than they want. The books teach workplace skills and new mindsets to allow for a healthier way of dealing with difficulty.

Teuila Hanson

Teuila is the Chief People Officer at Linkedin. She is a supporter of DE&I efforts and the #RepresentationMatters movement and led LinkedIn’s commitment to equal pay. Teuila specializes in labor relations, management development, and culture change. She is motivated by the desire to help organizations find tangible actions that ensure all employees are seen and heard, but also connected and supported.

Teuila prioritizes mental health and is an advocate for the importance of employee well-being to avoid burnout and end hustle culture. She is also an advocate for internal mobility and making sure companies are building strong talent and future leaders.

Marie Padberg

Marie is the Global Leader for Talent Attraction at McKinsey & Company, where she leads efforts to hire talent into various roles and pathways globally, and helps shape the future of McKinsey through the talent they hire. 

Marie is very passionate about mentorship. One of McKinsey’s missions and differentiating factors as an employer is that they provide their people with unrivaled professional development. Michelle Hodges

Michelle is the VP of Global HR and Talent Management for United Airlines. She is an innovative, articulate, and collaborative leader responsible for the development and execution of strategic initiatives to support operations and increase employee engagement.

Michelle was the leader for employee strategies on the collaborative DE&I team, We Stand United, which seeks to determine how to attract, retain, and develop diverse talent. She also spoke at the 2022 SHRM Guam Annual Conference, GAME CHANGHR.

Sandy Locke

Sandy is the Chief People Officer at Aon and a certified HR consultant. She specializes in executive coaching, performance management, strategic recruiting, DE&I efforts, benefits, and more. At Aon, she works with leadership teams across the globe and is operational and strategic when it comes to growing a workplace culture of support and appreciation.

Shannon Hobbs

Shannon is the Chief People Officer at GEICO. With over 20 years of experience, she specializes in building talent strategies, driving transformation, and implementing technology to support the company. Shannon is a strong believer in work-life balance and employee well-being, and embraces ambiguity and change, having proven herself to be very adaptive through multiple mergers and a global pandemic.

Shannon was a board member of Women Employed from 2017-2019, which is a nonprofit organization advocating for women’s economic status. Their mission is to remove barriers to economic equity.

Camille Pierce

Camille is the Chief Culture Officer and Head of Talent at Campbell Soup Company, specializing in marketing, talent acquisition, leadership development, and DE&I efforts. She leads both local and global teams to improve workplace culture and works to ensure all employees are heard, respected, and valued for their contributions to the workplace.

In 2019, Camille was recognized by Black Enterprise Magazine as a Top Executive in Diversity & Inclusion. She was also a member of the advisory council for the Women’s Business Center at Cornerstone Alliance, where she worked to empower female entrepreneurs and business owners in Southwest Michigan. Currently, Camille is a member of the Board of Temple University’s Center for Ethics, Diversity and Workplace Culture.

Shari Eaton

Shari is the Chief People Officer at Chobani. She has over 25 years of experience in retail, grocery, and tech spaces, where she led teams and partnered with leadership to transform organizations. Shari is a dynamic, motivational HR leader with a strong ability to set a vision, operationalize how to achieve it, and reach her desired results.

As a strong believer in service leadership with a passion for employee empowerment, Shari founded and sponsors the Women’s Impact Network at Starbucks in New England. With this network, she helped foster and inspire women’s development personally and professionally.

Sally Massey

Sally is the CHRO at Colgate-Palmolive, with 22 years of experience invested in the company. She leads all aspects of the global human resources strategy and capabilities and has guided major HR transformations. She specializes in change management, international HR, career pathing, recruiting, and more.

Sally received her Bachelor of Arts in French language and literature, during which she spent a year at the Université de Caen Normandie!

Doaa Fahmy

Doaa is the Senior HR VP for Danone. She has progressive, international experience in CPG and tech companies, and is passionate about talent development and leadership. Doaa thrives in fast-paced environments, with a track record of building high-performing teams and developing strong company cultures.

During her career in HR, Doaa has designed and implemented the Future of Work strategy for Danone in North America and led the transformation of rewards management, including benefit plans and long-term incentives. She has also built Danone’s 3 years strategy of Employee Services, including analytics, technology, and shared services.

Doaa serves as a senior consultant at Rippleworks.

Jacqueline Williams-Roll

Jacqueline is the CHRO at General Mills. She is responsible for the development of employees and organizational strategies to enable growth. She inspires her teams to thrive and create a culture of inclusion and belonging. 

Jacqueline led the development of General Mills’ Work with Heart, a future-thinking work method focused on results and recognition of employees. She serves on the board of the Human Resources Policy Association, the advisory board for the Council of Inclusion & Diversity, and is a Member of the Global Impact Governance Committee.

She was selected as one of Fortune’s Most Powerful Women in 2018, and named one of the Top 50 HR Leaders in HR by the National Diversity Council in 2021.

Claudia Diaz Singer

Claudia is the Senior Director of Talent Development and Workplace Inclusion at The J.M. Smucker Co., where she has invested nearly 20 years fostering an environment of positive intent, empathy, trust, and allyship. She specializes in management, talent development, DE&I, and international logistics management.

Claudia leads the development of the Workplace Inclusion Strategy, emphasizing a people-first approach and support to all employees. She implemented a listening strategy at J.M. Smucker Co. that evolved into an ongoing forum for critical employee discussions called, “Conversations that Elevate Awareness.” She also established a network of change agents, “Advocate Alliance,” focused on learning and discussion of DE&I topics, and incorporated employee-led events to support the education on various national heritage days and celebrations in a series called “Reasons to Celebrate.”

Monica Novomisle

Monica is the Chief People Officer at Kraft Heinz. She has over 20 years of experience in the HR industry, where she has achieved business and culture transformations. She has led the North America People & Performance team through growth, transformation, and change, and excels in building team-centric work cultures that enable employees to thrive and deliver their best results.

Eloiza Domingo

Eloiza is the VP of HR and Chief Inclusive, Diversity, and Equity Officer at Allstate. She’s responsible for building on Allstate’s culture of Inclusive Diversity & Equity by shaping the multiyear IDE plan to create an enduring impact inside and outside of the company. Eloiza drives DE&I efforts with three goals: spend on supplier diversity, invest in diverse organizations, and represent diversity in their own teams. She specializes in strategic leadership, culture development, DE&I, and C-suite coaching.

This year, Eloiza will be a featured speaker at the Boston College Center for Corporate Citizenship Conference, talking about how to rethink resilience. She has also been an Implicit Bias Certified Trainer since 2016. Eloiza was also featured on Symba’s executive interview series, #OpenUpTheWorkforce! She shared the importance of investing in minority suppliers, and how she implemented an accountability framework at Allstate.

Clarice Colòn

Clarice is the VP of Integrated Talent Management, Global HR, and OD/OE at Whole Foods Market. She is business-oriented, highly analytical, and exceptionally strong in multi-state/multi-unit operations. Her specializations are in leadership and team building, relationship management, leadership development, ethical practice, and DE&I.

Clarice was inducted into Deloitte’s 2022 Next Generation CHRO Academy and has been a SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) since 2015.

Carolyn Fischer

Carolyn is the VP of Global Talent Management at TJX Companies, where she is responsible for the creation of a corporate talent strategy of executive development, talent development, and company-wide training. She specializes in succession planning, executive development and coaching, employee communications, and strategic planning.

Carolyn leads the Global Talent Management Center of Expertise for TJX Companies, which encompasses both global talent planning and global talent development functions. She has also been a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) from International Coaching Federation since 2020.

Jennifer Martin

Jennifer is the Senior Director of HR Operations at PetSmart. She has over 20 years of HR experience on-site, regional, and enterprise-wide. A strategic-minded leader with experience in hospitality and retail, Jennifer is passionate about removing barriers and breaking down complex situations to help teams achieve results. She is committed to offering employees a competitive, valuable, and ‘wag-worthy’ benefits plan.

Jennifer has been a SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) since 2015 and received a Social Media in HR credential from HRCI in 2022.

Lorraine Hariton

Lorraine is the CEO of Catalyst where she works with CEOs of some of the largest corporations to promote the advancement of women in the workplace. Founded in 1962, Catalyst drives change with pioneering research, practical tools, and proven solutions to accelerate and advance women into leadership—because progress for women is progress for everyone.

Before Catalyst, she spent 25 years in various senior-level positions in Silicon Valley including as CEO of two venture-backed start-ups before being appointed by President Obama to be Special Representative for Commercial and Business Affairs at the US Department of State. More recently she is SVP for Global Partnerships for the New York Academy of Sciences where she has been instrumental in establishing the Global STEM Alliance. She currently serves on the board of Quotient Technologies. Previously she has served on numerous public, private, nonprofit and government boards of directors.

Jessica B. Steinberg

Jessica is the VP of HR and Corporate Functions for The Home Depot, where she specializes in organizational design, workplace culture, talent acquisition, and technology. She is passionate about big talent and has a track record of developing highly successful and innovative HR strategies to grow high-performing teams.

Jessica has been a Certified Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) from HRCI since 2009. Outside of work, she volunteers as a mentor at American Corporate Partners (ACP), an organization that offers coaching and mentoring to military veterans as they transition back into the civilian workforce.

Jessica Kazmaier

Jessica is the EVP and CHRO at RITE AID, where she has served in multiple HR roles for over 15 years. She focuses on talent management, associate engagement, labor relations, benefits, and HR corporate services. 

Jessica is the President of the Board of Directors for RITE AID Healthy Futures, a public charity dedicated to addressing racial inequalities and health disparities to bring about community change. They recently donated $1M to EmbraceRace to support children’s racial learning!

She has also been a Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) from the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans (IFEBP) since 2018.

Julie Schotanus

Julie is the Director of HR Strategy and Solutions at Walgreens. She has vast experience with senior executives in finance, operations, investments, marketing, and distribution. She is passionate about talent acquisition, performance management, change management, and training & development. She builds staff confidence and designs strategies to attract and retain top talent.

Some of Julie’s previous experience involved implementing anti-harassment interactive training, reducing turnover rates, negotiating union agreements, and more. She is also a SHRM Certified Professional.

Monique Lanaux

Monique is the Chief Talent & Diversity Officer at Albertsons Companies, facilitating organizational change through her skills in talent management, employee engagement, succession planning, and organizational development. With over 15 years of leadership experience connecting human capital to strategic business, Monique specializes in policy design, recruiting, talent acquisition, company culture, and more.

Monique is committed to creating a diverse, equitable, and inclusive workplace of equal access and open communication, and is a Certified Change Leader. She is currently supporting the Albertsons Cos. Supplier Diversity Program, an initiative to expand a diverse supplier network.
